Dr. Blake Beaumont falls hard for the pretty blonde with the compassionate heart, but over the years her sister has destroyed Lily’s self-confidence. She doesn’t think she’s good enough for the man the nurses in the hospital call Doctor Handsome. Lily wants to adopt the baby, but they don’t know who the baby’s father is and fear he’ll show up and demand custody. I'm glad the next book in the series came out! In this one Lily takes custody of her sisters baby and meets the new pediatrician in town. Like the others, a lot happens till they come to the ever after!
Sue Fineman is one of my favorite authors. You feel like her characters are family. I found it hard to put the book down. I'm so glad Lily finally got her happy ending!
Another great entry in the Ghosts of River Oaks series. I love this family. Fineman writes with such emotion that you're caught up on the story and the characters. Loved the evil twin aspect. Lily is such a loving, warm person. I'm glad she got her happy-ever-after. Blake is such a caring, yummy hero. Can't wait for Piper's story.
This is a good continuation of the River Oaks story line.
BUT the editing is real bad when it comes to the characters doing or saying things. Two people saying they have done the same thing, a sentence having someone saying they have done something two different ways in the same sentence, etc.
Looking forward to the next one and hope for better editing.
Beautiful story telling, I have followed Ms. Fineman's series, and have loved everyone of the stories. At first, I was upset about leaving the main characters from the first book, until I realized this is definitely an on-going story with this family of Five daughters and their descendents. It is great how the author weaves all the family members into her stories, leaving no one behind. I am looking forward to continuing to uncover the mysteries of this family! Extremely well done Ms. Fineman - if this were a play - I would be giving a standing ovation!
Wow...this book had so many twists and turns I couldn't put it down. Read it in one day. Blake and Lily have to find their way in this story, but Blake really is the quintessential hero!!! He was just a yum fest. Lily had her self-doubts...all valid from her evil twin sister, but it is wonderful to see her overcome those. There are lots of characters you'll see from the prior books, and many introduced in this one. I loved this continuation of the series!!!
Excellent story that kept me engrossed right to the end. Sue Fineman writes such great stories filled with love of family, fostering and adopting children that have been abused or left alone with no family to help them. There is trust, respect and love weaved through their large families and a sincere desire to help others in need. Add to that a storyline about someone involved in criminal activity which the family works together to seek justice. And, always a love relationship that is developing for those of us that enjoy a good romance. This is her 8th book in this series with another on the way. If you've never read one, do yourself a favor and start at the beginning and enjoy many hours of pure entertainment. Highly recommended.
